Estimating, Scheduling and Constructability
Marshfield Consulting Services is a South Australian owned consultancy firm which was established in 2021 as a successor of Rowlands Build. Rowlands Build has been operating since 2016 as a contract management consultancy for the civil construction sector both in South Australia and New South Wales and over time has gradually onboarded additional resources.
Andrew Rowlands, former owner and Director of Rowlands Build, saw an opportunity to widen his offering to the market and, together with Dirk Fuhrmann, have established Marshfield Consulting Services. Andrew and Dirk have known each other since their first joint project in 2009, when both of them delivered a weir structure project in the Riverland, South Australia.
Procurement
Marshfield provides procurement services to advise on, develop and execute different strategic procurement methods that align with the client’s intended delivery model for each individual project or a program of works. With the experience we have collectively gained over more than 50 years in the construction industry, we work with our clients to:
- Customise the procurement approach and develop project specific procurement solutions, tailored to the client’s needs.
- Provide the requested tendering services, utilising Marshfield’s systems or those of our clients.
- Perform the tender management and evaluation, including the writeup of recommendations, as required for the client’s organisation.
- Negotiate and prepare the contracts for execution.
Project Delivery
Marshfield is able to independently manage any project, part of a project or larger additional scope package, from its conception to handover. Through thorough planning and management of consultants, engineers and contractors we ensure that the primary objectives including benefits realisation, safety, quality, cost and time are delivered with un-compromised attention. With its extensive experience of numerous facets of infrastructure planning and construction, Marshfield is able to offer the whole range of the scope of a project’s lifecycle. This includes scoping and budgeting, design management and optimization, tendering, procurement and leading of consultants, contractor selection and overseeing/managing the construction process. We are prepared to take responsibility for the whole delivery of the project.
