About Marshfield
Our History
Marshfield is a South Australian-owned consultancy established in 2021 as the successor to Rowlands Build, a contract management consultancy operating across the civil construction sector since 2016 in both South Australia and New South Wales.
Founded by Andrew Rowlands and Dirk Fuhrmann, Marshfield was created to expand the business’s service offering across civil infrastructure projects. Having first worked together in 2009 on a major Riverland weir Project, Andrew and Dirk bring decades of combined industry experience and a collaborative approach to delivering projec management and consultancy services across the full project lifecycle.
Marshfield Today
Marshfield provides end-to-end consultancy services across the construction industry, supporting clients through every stage of the project lifecycle. Our expertise includes program and project development, design management, stakeholder engagement, project and program management, strategic procurement, meeting facilitation, and contract management.
We work with a diverse range of clients, from major government authorities such as the Department for Infrastructure and Transport and Tier-One contractors, through to small and medium-sized businesses.
Our team consists of experienced engineering and project professionals with extensive expertise in program development and design management, from early feasibility studies and business case preparation through to project delivery and benefits realisation at handover.
Marshfield’s Directors each bring more than 20 years of industry experience working across both client and contractor environments. Their combined expertise spans major civil infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, marine works, bridges and structures, tunnelling, airports, and power generation infrastructure, with many projects delivered under state and federal government programs.

Marshfield Consulting Services
Our team brings specialist expertise across all aspects of project delivery, including quality management, design and design management, staging and construction planning, cost control, and project planning. This breadth of experience enables Marshfield to deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions across complex infrastructure environments.
At Marshfield, we provide a comprehensive range of consultancy services to clients across the civil construction and building sectors – supporting project sponsors, designers, and contractors throughout the full project lifecycle. We are continually seeking innovative ways to add value and improve project outcomes.
Our experience spans a diverse range of infrastructure sectors, including roadworks, SA Water infrastructure, River Murray projects, and major transport infrastructure works.

Dirk joined Andrew in 2021 when Marshfield Consulting Services was founded.
Andrew Rowlands
Andrew established Rowlands Build in 2016 which was transitioned into Marshfield Consulting Services in 2021.
